Today's date is 27 January 2012.Welcome to RobottRock.com. This is my personal website, and a chance to use what I've learned in my Web Design class. Please feel free to peruse its contents and leave feedback on my comments page.
My name is Kara Anderson. I am a Computer Information Technology major at Brigham Young University-Idaho. I specialize in Wireless Technologies, and will soon begin an internship at Idaho National Labs in that subject area. I am currently preparing to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and afterwards hope to attend graduate school at Idaho State University, getting an MBA and specializing in System Security with hopes to work in government security.
As far as my interests go, I used to be a Music Major. This is still a large portion of who I am. I play upright bass for jazz mainly, and electric bass for jazz, funk, and several indie rock bands that I am in. Guitar is in its early development stages, and I have minimal skills on piano. I love racquetball, kayaking, rock climbing, hiking, running, body boarding, and many other outdoor activities.
Computers are the source of a great passion in my life. I build a new one whenever financial circumstances allow, and love expanding my knowledge concerning them. My favorite software and hobbies include Adobe Creative Suites with all applications, Virtual Box, various Linux operating systems, and many different open source softwares. In my personal reading, I am currently researching system security and how to protect against different types of hacking procedures. This I do for the safety of myself, my family, and my friends.
